Welcome to the USCA David, well I'm no expert on Milford but its a big lake with lots of spots to fish, I've had some luck from the bank at Curtis creek and School Creek, also the Wakefield boat ramp is a spot to try, had my best luck with cut shad, good luck

Hey thanks, this is my first weekend targeting blues so i'm pretty excited about it. I plan on trying my luck on finding some shad if I don't i'll catch some bluegill and bullhead friday evening here in Newton. I do really well with channels lately I have been finding some good size channels at Marion Res north of Wichita even a couple 20's but I am TERRIBLE with Flatties and blues. I hope you guys can help me change that!

Kicking around the idea of running up there myself Tuesday evening, looking at the Rolling Hills area for targeting flathead. Looking at the maps it seems like some decent areas there for bank fishing.
Is this a good plan or not? Never been there before and I'm not sure my buddy will be up for it or not, but......

David, you get on the west side of the lake around Curtis Crk park, I live back in those houses. Go between the bait shop and the cemetary, I live in the second house on the right. If there isn't a blue truck in the carport, I'll be on my way to School Crk park. If you get this in time, pm me I'll give you my cell number. Maybe I can help you out.

Spent the night at Milford on friday. Had enjoyable evening with a friend who had never caught a blue before. We caught 45 blues and 15 channels. Steady bite all night with fish coming from `12 to 18 feet. Biggest blue was 18 pounds. Kept 10 blues and 4 channels all about 6 pounds for upcoming fish fry at the fire department. First time that I have spent the entire night on the lake. Did not see but 2 other boats all night.

My friend from Abilene, (Mike) fished our shore spot early yesterday afternoon, I couldn't fish but visited with him awhile. He done okay, 11 nice size Bluecats, 1 Channel He was there about 2.5 hours. Biggest Bluecat was an 8.5lb'r. So he went home happy. Hopefully later this week I'll be able to Catfish again, instead of just being and observer. That works though too, bettern being in the house.
