I bought the river cat last yr and run a 115 optimax. The only problem i had is when i got into some real shallow water i got sand in the intake had to take it to the dealer. Changed the thermostat and cleane it out no problems. Love it

    Default Motors

I had a 90 optimax and loved it. Got into sand one time had to go back to dealer and be cleaned out. I was in REALLY shallow water though. Sold boat and motor to upgrade. Have a 150 opti coming now. Also my father is a commercial fisherman he runs Suzukis. Day in and day out they dont fail and they have a hard life.

    +1

I bought my Procat a couple months before my wedding cause I figured it'd be a hard sell when its "our" money.

What kind of speeds do u get with the 115 optimax? Want to max out horsepower now i think but mercury doesnt make a 140hp. Kind of an odd rating. Why not rate for a 150?

If you need to know anything about a seaark contact rick axt. Works for them. But if your gonna be in shallow water get a 3 degree and tunnel river cat. tunnel is only $350 more i think. Will keep your motor up. If in big waters get the 15 degree pro cat. Good luck man gonna be a sweet ride. Ive been looking for the past week or two. Trying to decide between a seaark or a pontoon. I wanna seaark but the wife is wanting a toon.
