an actual fishing report??

my brother inlaw john came down from yuma to welcome my other brother inlaw back from afghanistan. so we planned a quick trip to saguaro for a few hours. he showed up at 4 and we had the boat in the water by 5. since my throttle is still broken, i can only idle so we trolled across the lake to a large cove across the main lake. managed to catch a few yellow bass and 2 hand sized blue gills trolling in open water. 1 hr later we anchord down and it seemed like we were reeling in big blue gill after another so after about an hour we stoped gill fishing and started catfishing. after a few hours of catfishing, we caught 1 6# channel and lost 2 at the boat. all were off cut bait.

managed to get dinner and gills with a breathtaking view in about 4 hours. NICE!

Just getting out on the water can be a blast, even when no BIG flats are caught, of course that would be ideal.
