I had an old boatswains pipe that I had for years but managed to loose that made great sounding kee kee whistles. I never really thought of it as a turkey call before till one day when my daughter was about 6 she was playing with it and she managed to make one of the best kee-kee's I've ever heard. Took me a while to duplicate it but once I did, I used it soley in the fall for kee-kee's and got plenty of hens worked up. I hate that I lost that old pipe and been looking at some whistles that are designed just for kee kee's. I've seen plastic kee kee whistles for sale but wondering if anybody had ever tried one. Some say that are just a sports (referee) whistle with the ball taken out I may just try to find another boatswains pipe. I'm also trying to remember how, but when I was a kid, my uncle made some from a 30-30 brass and a piece of copper tubing. Been driving myself crazy trying to remember how to make it!!!!
