Default 20 year PB Cape fear at Avents ferry

I haven't catfished in over 20 years and this is what I get for my first!! Flats wasn't hitting on gills from the bank (not for me), but the little ones were hittin the crawlers on my bait pole. It was so cute I wanted to keep it but didn't. I did see 3 flats brought in from tree lines between 15 and 20 pounds each, guy said two was caught from same tree. My boats not ready yet, (been stored for over 20 years), so having to bank fish in a fished out area. Look forward to posting some real fish photos soon..

It had to have sucked to not do any catfishing for 20 years. How much work are you going to have to put in to get your boat up after so long?

Boats just a 12 foot aluminum jon. Just replaced the transom board today. Picked up a 7.5 hp outboard just have to stick some seats back on it and hope to be in the water Thurs. Kind of a crazy story on the boat. My dad sold and loaded the boat on the mans truck brand new in 1975. My dad passed away in 1978 and my mom just happened to marry the man that bought it and he became my stepdad. I started fishing and frog gigging in it at age 7. I quit using it over 20 years ago and had about a million people ask to by it, but it was never forsale. It's maybe worth a couple hundred bucks on a good day to most, but priceless to me. I spent many years working to build a business and now have some time to fish, I've only been waiting for 20 years so I'm going fishing!!
