You should.... i highly reccomend it. I love carp fishing. About only thing i fish for anymore... once you realize what caro are about and fight a nice one youl be hooked for life! Theyre tricky tho.. very smart... so if you dont hook up keep on trying.... Carp fishing takes time and patience and experience. I reccomend you check out Euro Carping like i fish... as you can see in y pics above what the rigs look like.. Research alittle and take a look at the method.

Carp are such funny creatures. You see them bubbling along and really pay them little mind as they seem like these docile creatures just rooting around in the mud. But, I'll tell ya what; let one bubble around and take your bait and realize it's got a hook in its mouth, and that docile creature just turned into Bo Jackson trying to get out of the backfield. I have chased more than one rod because of them crazy things... and once I literally had to go in the water after it and got lucky that I grabbed it before it was to far out. (Landed the fish too!)

I am seeing more and more people begin to target carp locally. And the fish are starting to become more and more weary. I've noticed that most are practicing CPR, and the fish are learning. I know there is a local lake which supposedly get's targeted by Europeans pretty heavily now for carp. I think that before long the fishing pressure is going to force me to start getting more sophisticated with my rigs and start using hair rigs instead of simple dough balls covering my hook. Already over the last few years I've noticed that my success rate is massively different than before, and especially when I compare a heavy line vs light line. These fish are no slouches, they pull like a mule, live a good long life, reach excellent fighting size, and are a blast to catch! Honestly when I am taking kids fishing, especially early on, I like to try to get them on a carp. They generally are pretty easy to get at least one or two hooked up on; and they give the kids such a great fight! They may not be looked at here in the US as a great sport fish; but I think we are seeing the stigma of carp and carp fishing change. I know I used to scoff at people who would try to catch the things... then I matured as a fisherman and realized that potential these guys have! They may have been the fish that began my swing from being a single species anger to a multi-species angler.

Thankyouuu Basun... Finally one who undertsands what im talking about... Carp aernt easy to catch... for the most part, especially the big girls. It takes time, skill, effort and knowledge tp fool the big carp. I also fish European style. Hair rigs boilies, alarms, maize, spodding, groundbait... all that good stuff has increased my hookup rates on carp. I use tp fosh doughbait/or sweetcorn on the hoook and never did tht well. I switched to Euro now and am doing awesome. Its all i do anymore is carp fish pretty much. Im a die hard carp fisherman always trying to become better. They are looked at as trash fish by many anglers but many of those anglers dont have a cluevwhat carp are truly capable of. It is ashame, but then again its nice... of the USA turns into the way Europe is carp fishin wil become very very tough. Alhtough i havve also noticed a slight increase in number of carp fishemran too but nothing to bad yet. I dont know if it will make it that far but i guess you never know. I know one things for sure... If itvbecomes a very popular sport ovr here i will be looked up to because of already having some good knowledge of the sport. All the rigs, baits, gear, and knowledge that surrounds carp fihsing is impressive, european style is the only way to fish for carp in my opinion.

there is nothing better then hooking a huge wild carp its a fight becuz they go stupid ive been river carp fishing for for about 30 years but didn't get into it fully till about 15 years ago ive tryed all kinda bait from corn to flavors from chow to cornmeal an the best by far is hole wheat bread an white bread pinch it up into small pieces an mix it up with a lil water or your favoring its a base you can add what ever you want in it .

but carp fishing realy aint about your bait as much as being quiet!! key point on carp fishing is noise if there a lot of noise no bait in the world will get a bite now if there use to a lot of noise then its all about the bait but for wild carp its all about the noise. noise=spooked fish. give the bread a try an let me know how well it works for you
