Richmond Catfishing
I am originally from Texas and love to catfish. i live in Roanoke but my girlfriend goes to VCU in Richmond and we have been searching for somewhere on the james that we can catfish from the banks at nighttime. we have went to the Huguenot Bridge park area 2 times with some luck catching 3 small fish in the 6-10 pound range but want to go somewhere that we are allowed to fish into the night from the banks any one have any suggestions? help would be greatly appreciated.

WOW that is ironic i grew up in Rocksprings so not to far a way at all!!! i miss it soo bad!!
i am having trouble finding information of how to get to dutch gap... any help? also everything i see talks about fishing from a boat there are there bank spots as well?
It's in Chester they have henricus dock or the entire right side of the James along the Dutch gap ramp

i found a place at the nickel bridge not the side of the toll but the other side you park in the neighborhood at the top of the hill and walk down to the bridge you will see a cut off trail theres signs and evrything i fish right under the bridge theres a trash can right there and everything i use whole brim i catch good size flat heads i had seen some gar pulled out of there before also
I know Im late but Ive had good luck at the canoe launch at Browns Island, Ancarrow boat landing, and just west of the huguenot bridge. But I must warn you, there is alot of debris in the water currently around the huguenot bridge.
