Cut bullhead?

I've used it plenty but never has been as consistent as with other baits. In some places it can be super productive though.

Has anyone ever tried using cut bullhead for bait? The tough skin makes it seem like it would stay on the hook pretty well. And the fatty, red, bloody meat from a bullhead seems like it would be a good bait to tempt channel cats. Thoughts?

Catch some small ones and hook them under the back fin. Allow them swim under a bobber. Older (bigger)Channels take live bait so do big bass.

I use them up here for flats work great, flats like them alive better, but we can only use cleanings up here. Channels love em too
