There is a handicap dock below truman dam that is a good spot for cats.

welcome to the site and glad to have ya aboard .....

the concrete handicap dock below the dam is easy to acess but get very crowded at times and unless your able to cast 200 to 300 feet or so you will lose alot of tackle .

the docks in the dead channel below the dam are nice as well but do get crowded at times also but you will not get hung up as often nor do ya have to worry about making long casts .

Shad is a very good bait ,, then its the usual stuff like perch ,, blue gills ,, worms ,, liver,, prepared baits ect . but fresh shad and gills work well .cut and live .

good luck to ya and catch a biggen !!!

ole troy ( spoonfish ) on this site will probably be fishing at the dam i bet he could help ya get some bait and get set up to fish ..

    Default Fishing at Truman Lake

I fish alot at SparrowsFoot and want to spend some more time fishing the Dam. A catfish guide there told me the top side of the Dam is better than the bottom? I'm just saying!
