Need advice on a good mono
I recently was given an older model ambassadeur 5000 with a clicker. I completely took the thing apart, cleaned it, oiled it, added stainless steel bearings, and replaced a few worn out parts. I'm pretty surprised by the performance of this old reel so far, and am looking to spool it up with some quality 20lb. mono. For years i have been using Trilene Big Cat, but have always used spinning reels. Does the Big Cat have to much memory for such a small spool? I want to be able to sling this thing as far as possible, and i do not want to purchase a line that will limit my distance. Any advice on a low memory 20lb line, preferably available in a neon color? Also...with the 5000 having a smaller spool, do you think i will be able to cast off all my line in one cast?
Thanks,
Dustin.

couldnt be a more perfect time to tell you about renegades hi-vis yellow. its 30 lb that has about the same diam as 20. i thought it would be to big for 5000 class reels but i was wrong. i love it. its on the 5000 size reels in my signature pic at bottom of my posts. its $10 for 500 yards and $14 1200 yards. and $79 for 5000 yards. its very low memory.

also if you order $50 or more you get free shipping. im using it on the below picture from last week. see how bright and visable it is. and see the fish that tookthe bait too. they sell supreme quality hooks both circle and others to match up with the line. they cant be bought any cheaper unless you buy cheap quality chinese.

i dought you could cast off all the line. i dont come close even with 3 oz sinkers. they hold a couple hundred yards.

nope. other than buying stuff from them. i try it. if i like it ill say i do. if not i wont. so far i love it. doesnt coil up like most mono and is super hi vis. landed some 5-6 lbers so far on it and is working great.
lets put it this way. there invicta hooks. are IMO comparable or better than gamakatsu and i bought 1000 of them last fall. cost me $300. i bought over $50 in 3 orders so i paid exactly $0 in shipping. they were running a sale buy 7 packs get one free. so i paid exactly $0.30 each. gams are about $.90 each. so saved 2/3rds over gams cost. and the kicker. renegade runs a hook club. if you or anyone buys $300 (invicta hooks only) in 12 months time you get a FREE , yes you heard me. FREE war rod. you pay only shipping of #11.99. the rods value. $89.00. so thats why i got so many hooks. and dont regret it a bit. there sharp as a needle and from the fish i got last week on them they hookup great. not one got off after hookup.
