    Default Home Made Bobber Stoppers.

    Steps 1 thru 4

I have had a few request on how to make these. Things u will need.. Thin straws like coffee stirrer straws from gas stations. U will need string also.. You can use la lite braided line i use 137m upholstery string. And u will also need a pair of scissors. These are simple to make. But it may take u 2 or 3 times to get it right tho.

Step 1: U wanna run the string along the straw. Like n photo 1 U wanna have about 6 or more inchs going to the top of the straw. while held down with ur thumb u want about 2 inchs going to the bottom of the straw.

Step 2: Forming a hoop like in picture 2 u wanna take the longer string thats going to the top if the straw when u make ur hoop. And line it up next string already held down with ur thumb. Do not over lap. U want ur hoop to also be about a inch.

Step 3 and 4: Then with the string to the left of the straw. The **long one** You are going to wrap the string around the straw to the right 8 times or so. Makeing nice coils going toward the top of the straw. wrapping it around the hoop. Dont let the hoop spin around the straw. U will have to keep straiting the hoop sometimes.

Step 5: once u completed your wraps and makeing ur coils even. U are going to run the string u were wraping thru the hoop.

Step 6 and 7: once you have done that you wanna pull the string you've been holding with ur thumb the whole time, the 2 inch string and start to pull it 1st. That should cause the hoop to get smaller and tighten down on the string u made the coils with and ran thru the hoop. Then u wanna start pulling and both strings and making sure they are causing all the wraps to tighten to the straw nice and even. And tight on each other. Not over lapping tho. Then you will slide the who thing toward the end of the straw in photo 7.

step 8: Then cut the straw like n photo 8.

Once cut from the straw u may wanna cut the 2 strings shorter. I cut both of mine about a inch long. Thanks for veiwing. Sorry its not the best in details and i could have desribed the steps better. But it shouldnt be to awful hard to figure out. It does have pictures lol...
