I'm hoping to get out either Friday or Saturday. Probably launching from Tecumseh. I've been trying to get over there for the last few weeks, but crap keeps coming up...
Good luck to those who make it out!
Peace,
Chad

Not to hijack Barry's thread (though he is old and feeble and can't do anything about it anyway
), I launched out of Leavenworth yesterday and figured I would just scare up a couple of asians into the boat for fresh bait. I ran around Blue Creek for 2 hours and didn't see not even one of the damn things. Last time I was there they were in there by the thousands. Typical!!!!
So Mr. Bear.... how did you do?

Not so good guys. Water temp dropped from 67 deg. last week to 63 deg. Friday and the river on the fall. It was a great day to be on the water but I think the drop in level and water temp had them locked up. We marked alot of fish, had a few bumps, but they just would not pick up the bait, heck we didnt even see any asians jumping. 3 guys, two boats, 9 rods, every imaginal bait, and 5+ hrs on the water = zip! We'll see what happens next weekend.
On another note, took Michele down to Turtle Creek Saturday and slayed bait! The bait tank is well stocked with bluegills and green sunfish. I also learned that the local Gander Mountain is carrying shad gut and skipjack ($7.00 for 2). Kinda high if you ask me for skips, unless you dont have access to any, then it's not so bad, lol.
