    Default Who releases there flatheads ?

    I was wanting to see show of hands on who releases there Flathead catches ..

    If keeping fish what do you keep ??

    just curious some people keep all there fish and thats ok, its your right 2 keep them if you do....


    Me i release all my fish and will not keep anything over 10 to 15 lbs to eat unless fish is not going to make it or dies...
    I like fresh fish but never like to freeze it... so i never keep anything in freezer..

    Channel Cats differnt story..lol i will keep most of them and give to a buddy that eats fish 3 times a week...

    I release 98% of mine. Eat the other 2%

    Channels, I release those slimy things right away.

    I got every one of you beat. I have never even caught a Flathead for fear of hurting it.

    I release 'em all. The only thing the wife lets near my house that resembles a fish is PICTURES!!

    I never keep anything, I will keep channels, but Flats I always let go....

    This is a good question though... and makes me think, I got sucked into that show Mudcats yesterday watching these guys Noodle and multiple times these guys had 45+ lbers die waiting a day or so to get to a weigh in that was no where close to the lake or river they were caught in.... Kind of disgusted me.... one guy lost what had to be at least 55 lber..

    longest I have ever kept one is until the following morning and that was ONLY to take pictures....

    X2 or we are having the occasional fish fry then I still wont take anything over 12# or so.....

    This has got me thinking. We need a weigh sling for the tourney. Especialy if Scott is fishing. Anybody have one??
