Badin Water Conditions

Anybody know the water conditions on Badin? Got the boat hooked up to the truck and plan on taking the wife down early in the morning to try to catch a few catfish, but I won't get too mad if a striper decides to take the bait first! Thanks for any input you have.

Water is muddy around Old Whitney and up to the dam, but gets super clear down towards the golf course. Water temps are around 63 up in the river and around 70 in the lake. Fish are biting good. I fished a tournament there Fri. night and finished 2nd with 2 fish for 71 lb. big fish of the tournament was 52 lb. First place had 81 lb. I would have thought it would take more to win it, but that's Badin for ya'. hero or zero. Me and the wife are going out there for a few hours in a little while. Good luck out there man!

Thanks for the information. I'm planning on putting in at Old Whitney in the morning and running up behind the dam to try and catch some bait then give 'em a shot. Good luck tonight!

Watch for the occasional log floating, we were there thur and friday and saw some good size logs floating that would be rough to hit and they have been running the wheels pretty strong at the dam making bait a little tougher than normal for us. there is good current for fishing though

I've been getting bait down the lake, so not sure what's up there right now. We ended up with 4 blues and a flathead tonight. The flathead weighed 30 lb. and our bigget blue was also 30 lb. good few hours on the water.
