    Default Badin Report April 3,2012

Took the wife to Badin yesterday morning and had a pretty good day. Put in at Old Whitney a little before daylight and ran up behind the dam to catch my bait. They're really pulling a lot of water and bait was a little harder to catch than it usually is. Started power drifting with the shad and started catching fish pretty quick, nothing fast and furious, but steady. Ended up with 14 blues and channels anywhere from 3lbs. up to 15 lbs. Big fish for the day was a 22 lb flathead that hit like he hadn't eaten in a month. Fished in water from 12' to around 38' deep and my "Bird" was showing around 65*. Released all fish except for a few of the smaller ones to throw in some hot grease for supper last night. Left around 11:00 am because my boat motor didn't want to run. Like to have never got it back to the ramp and on the trailer. Overall a pretty good day except for the motor problems.

Sounds like a good day on the water minus some boat trouble. Thanks for the report!
