Default LKN Fishing Report, April 4, 2012

Me, myself and I figured it would be good fer my raw throat (pollen doing a number on me) to get out on the water and breath in a little moisture and thats what I did. I had everything setup, a little after 8 AM and power drifting along and within 20 minutes or so, I put this blue cat in the boat. Then I ran across a small school of bass and jig this one up .
All of this occurred within the first thirty minutes. Then I turned left into a small alcove, missed something that liked my bait, got to the end of the alcove and was making my turn when one of the side planer boards took off crossing all my other lines. Knew it was a nice one so I took my time with it and worked up a sweat in 66 degree weather. Finally got it up to the boat and said 'oh chit' and the photo tells you why ! Cut the muther off and then got my knife out and started cutting fishing line and terminal tackle.. Said BS to this kind of action and was back home before 10 AM.

I think I would have made him into turtle soup for messing up all my rigs. Hope that pollen leaves you alone soon!

Remind me to tell you the story sometime of 2 high school kids, a trotline, an 8-foot jon boat, and a mossback snapper with a head the size of a softball.
