    I just got a penn peer 309. What rod would I pair with this reel. Any suggestions

    Not sure what type fishing ya have in mind I have a 309 i use on couple diff rods .i use it on a 10 ft meat-hunter H and a 7'6" quantum big cat H using 50 lb mono cast pretty well for a penn.
