thanks! I sent you a PM would love to get together and do a trip sometime. I live in Logan and don't know a lot of the areas since I moved back to the area a couple years ago and just got back into fishing recently.

like brew said, i think there is better access on the IA side. and on a side note you can fish the seams from the wing dams without a boat but its tough to keep your bait there on most that ive tried...

    Default Mighty Mo Newb

Im new to river fishing myself, only been fishing the Mo. for about 3 years. My problem is I still dont know how to rig my pole to get me down deeper and which hooks, if any, are optimal. Ive lost a few nice ones just for that reason. Also where do each specific breed of catfish like to swim (rocks, dead trees, in the current)? I love to learn and I have plenty of questions. I live in Mo Valley btw so any bank fisherman in the area feel free to hit me up.

Does anyone know any good bank river access on the Nebraska side anywhere between the Dodge Park near Omaha and Plattsmouth? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Never fished the MO but I'm very eager to give it a go.

I would suggest playland park but I think they have it closed off while the levies get worked on.

went by NP Dodge park about two weeks ago and everything appeared to be closed off still. I think there is river access in Blair at the Optimists park there bbut not too sure. It looked pretty rough the last time I went there. IT was about a week ago.

Friendship Park in Council Bluffs has some good access. It's the park by the pedestrian bridge. I've had decent luck there and it's a 5 min. drive from downtown Omaha. Just realized that Friendship and Playland are the same. It is definitely open though.
