Lake Wylie 52 Pound Flathead
Carolina Catfish Club member Justin Whiteside texted me late last night and said he was headed to the boat ramp with a BIG flathead. He did know exactly how big, but guess it was over 50 pounds. I grabbed my camera and 100 pound scale and headed to the boat ramp to snap some pics of the beast and get a good weight on the fish.
He caught a beast!! An exceptionally nice 52.5 pound Lake Wylie flathead, which is the second reported 50+ flathead from Lake Wylie this season. The early bit has produced some good flatheads so far this year. After being photographed more times than Brad Pitt on the red carpet, the fish was released alive!!! Thanks for doing that Justin!!
