I agree. Catfishing on canal is a lot different. I think the best results come from new spots that one might make that way it hasn't had any pressure. There is a lot of nice spots out there, but they have been hit hard. It seems like a lot of them produce good flats but not the real big ones. They are smart fish. Like you said knowing a good starting point is a good thing. Making your own hole is part of the fun.

I put the gps locator under you truck just for your safety in case you run into trouble..........yeah that's it j/k. I have been creating a perfect spot last couple times out. Very deep hole and I've placed "holes" for them to lay. And I'm not worried about others fishing it because it's on that "other" river. After I pull a 50 from there every will change their minds
