I think that if you got 100% Confidence in your abilities as a fishermen,
Why would anyone want to know the exactly location where any fish was caught - I would just want to know at what lake or river - & hopeful my own fishing abilities will help me to make my own location.

I agree. Catfishing on canal is a lot different. I think the best results come from new spots that one might make that way it hasn't had any pressure. There is a lot of nice spots out there, but they have been hit hard. It seems like a lot of them produce good flats but not the real big ones. They are smart fish. Like you said knowing a good starting point is a good thing. Making your own hole is part of the fun.
