Hey Bro's has anyone been doing any good down at West Point? I have not fished there this year but my son and I are heading down in the next week or two. I grew up there and have landed some very nice size fish down there... Good luck to all my Bro's this year, have a great one...

If your talking about making that right just past the gas station near the mouth of the salt then yes I been there. Water was way up and way fast. Had a decent bite but had to pack it in early. That was 3 weeks ago. Headed there this weekend with a few of the boys.

All the years I have lived here I have only fished that place 2 times that I remember and only caught 1 small bass. I just got a pontoon this year and am planning on hitting the Salt River pretty hard for some cats. Can't wait, getting excided just thinking about it.

Water was still rough and high. Headed to that boat landing on the Salt to no avail. Ended up on Buffalo lake up here with a little action but not much to speak of.

Head up the salt till u get to the cable that runs across the river to keep u off post. there r a few creek feeds that r good to fish, also when the river is up in the trees fish acroos from the ramp with some limb lines u will pick up some nice cats.. let me know if u ever want to fish together guys

I'm down. Was going to head to Evansville this weekend to fish with Dave but work is in the way. Think I'm going to go shore fish Brandenburg on Sat. night. Once I get a shorter rod I'll be down for fishing whenever.

I went and looked at the ramp in West Point and it looked like there was a big mud hump going across the whole ramp about 10 in the water. That was on Monday. How is the ramp? Any holes or anything I should look for when backing in? I went down to Clover Creek instead to test out the older new to me pontoon. My wife and myself caught 4 - 2 pounders and I caught my best out of river a 30 pound blue. That was something to see. Will have to get a bigger net and teach the wife how to net a fish. Had a great time.

Grats. Yeah the ramp at West Point is rough. I don't have a boat but I have seen my share of people have a rough time getting in and out of there.
