    Default Tilapia other store bought fish?

    Have you ever tried frozen fish from the supermarket?

    It works but that can get expensive. Take a light action rod along with some small worms and catch bluegill or white perch...use them whole or cut. Either way works.

    Yes sir I try that, I can catch plenty of them in the summer, but i have a heck of a time right now catching them. Trying to figure out what structure they may use this early in the season. If there were crappie I could catch those Im still working the kinks out on the Potomac.

    The white perch are on their spring spawning run right now...you should have no problem finding them. Try around any current break. Bluegills, target them on their spawning beds around boat docks or other structure in 4 - 5 feet of water. The Potomac is a great fishery...you'll get the hang of it shortly. Tight lines.

    Not sure you can use crappie as bait. I been trying to find what is considered legal bait fish and cant find it. I know the red eyes and blue gills where legal but I thought crappie where illegal to fish with.

    If you catch them on rod&reel they can be used for bait-I do it all the time

    Thanks Ramone I went today still couldnt catch any live bait but I caught a pretty decent blue I will try to post it in a minute.
