Default omoto 6000 vs abu Garcia 6500 c3

Hey guys haven't been on in awhile still getting duck fever out of my system and swinging back in to the cats I sold my cl70s didn't like em as much as the abu's darn fine reel for the price though but getting new reels shortly omoto or abu three to be exact which one is really the better reel bout the same price I already am a renegade supporter but just want honest opinions of what's best

All my reels are 6500 C3 except for an old peen 209 and a Peen greenie spinning reel. Heard nothing but good reviews from the other however. This will be an interesting post, thanks

When you compare the stats, they are pretty much identical.

Biggest difference is on the 6000 CSM you get magnetic cast control and more drag power.

Abu Stated = 15 LBS Max Drag

Omoto Stated = 19 LBS Max Drag.

Didn't Snagged2 do a really nice comparison of the Omoto's and Abu's? I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it.

One type is centrifugal / mechanical and one is Magnetic.

2 ways to skin the cat on spool control and speed.

Magnetic Cast controls will be more expensive.

    theoretically magnetics will perform better.

    Pins control a centrifugal system.

For average guys, doing what we do, and how we do it..

    It really does not matter.

We are not trying to squeak out an extra 25 yards on a cast, or worried about initial spool speed times for competition.

Larger baits, larger terminal tackle, controlled distance deployments.

For guys like us, it would be an economical playing position.

If there are (2) things similar, which one gives us more for the $.

Out of the box, when comparing them reel to reel, that is Omoto.

Then from there, each individual can play the,"What If" game.

The 6000 CSM still has a mechanical on the side of the spool.

Something they do need to do though, is put a mushroom post on the spool.

    Its 2012, braid is cheap.

    Should have it there.
