Default Question: Do log jams in rivers normally hold more than one big blue catfish?

I've started fishing the Wateree River about 15 to 20 miles below the power house. I've caught some really nice big blues but it seems like it's one big blue to a log jam? Then it seems that after I catch the big blue it might be a week or so before I catch another big blue out of that log jam. What' your experience with this since I don't know if I'm being too impatient and not waiting long enough for the next bite. Also it appears if there is a big fish in the jam, he'll bite within 15 minutes almost every time. Any advice would be appreciated.

i find blues are a little more solitary then channels so unless its a big structure id say most of the time it would be just one big one in there, after that id move to a different location.
