    If started from crowns it really shouldn't be cut until the third year, maybe second year if it takes off good. If started from seed it can take up to 7 years before it's ready but a well established bed will last 20 to 25 years.

    In the next few year i am going to have myself a green house so i can extend my growing season options and i have much respect for those that have one going. I believe all i will have for plants this year will be container plants. Tomatoes and peppers probably living in town not much space the usual stuff.
