Mo side of the Dam and Mississippi and MO river confluence.
Went to the dam on the MO side around 7 am because and snagged a lot of asian carp and snagged a skipjack. 2 other guys snagging snagged a skipjack also and they let us have them. Someone snagged a huge skipjack and left it on the bank to die and dry out. Who would do that? I would have put it in the freezer or used it for bait. We went back to the confluence around 8 am and fished for about 4 hours. I didn't know there was signs posted saying no fishing within 300 feet of the confluence. Fished about 300 feet north of the confluence on the Mississippi and caught 3 small sturgeon and 3 small drum. My uncle caught 3 small blues about 6 inches long. Didn't get a single bite on fresh cut skipjack. Well at least we got out and enjoyed the great weather. We did see a kayaker and 2 canoes come out of the MO river. They are a lot more brave then me. There is no way you will see me on the MO and Mississippi river in a kayak or a canoe. I won't even take my 14 foot jon boat out there.
