I have one paired with an Omoto 7000AB3. It wont cast a mile, but for what I use it for, I LOVE it. Its extremely light weight, but has some real backbone to it. Being an Uglystick, I dont have any worries about it taking some real abuse. I have a couple "heavier" setups, but I have confidence that this will handle whatever gets thrown at it. A local shop had them on sale for $28 each. I was really stupid for not grabbing both of the rods they had left while I was in there :(

From handling a couple at Bass Pro I think that they should be great for all around use from a boat. Still debating it though.
