    Default What size circle?

I normally dont use circles for cut bait,i normally use kahles for that, but for bluegill heads would a 5/0 gamma octopus circle be big enough you think? or should i use the big 8/0? i hook mine through the bottom lip and run it up through the nose.

I would use 8/0 and up, that's what I do.

5/0 seems small for a head. I use 4/0 for shrimp and shad chunks but would trust an 8/0 more for bluegill heads.

I think it would depend on the size of gill and how big you are cutting the heads .

There are days I cant get but 4 to 5 inch gills so for them a 5/0 would work fine , but I may cut it back half through the gut pocket . So a 8/0 to a 10/0 may be the proper choice .

On big gills 8 to 10 inches the head would be a pretty big bait so no smaller then a 8/0 for me .

I use alot of 5/0 and 7/0 for bluegill fillets and rarely miss a fish .

I dont use alot of gill heads as the fillets and live out produce the heads where I fish .

I used to use diffrent sizes for diffrent baits, but for me the 8/0 Invicta hooks from Renegade are a great all around hook for pretty much anything.
