    Default Skip Jacks

Really don't feel like driving to the CC Steam plant or Cheatham Dam in TN to find some Skippies. Has anyone found any in North Alabama?

From what I hear the skips have moved up to the dams on the Tenn river,Pickwick,Wilson, and Wheeler.

Skips are on the wall at the Guntersville dam, they are deep though.

I know I am about 2 weeks after the last post, but we were on Wheeler in late March and caught skipjack below Wheeler dam, and loaded 3 coolers below Pickwick on our way home.
I bet they are still there around the dams.

Are there any skipjack in the Coosa river lakes such as Neely Henry or Logan Martin, or are they just in the Tennessee river lakes? Thanks

Yeah, we don't have them here in Nc either. We got plenty of big gizzards though, but it sure would be nice to have some skipjack though! They look like some good baits. I got some herring a while back down near Santee that looked like skipjack, but was told they were ocean herring, but they look almost alike.
