    basic carolina rig without a swivel. call it overly basic but its never let me down. large slip egg sinker of 3oz or better just depending on current with a fluorescent bead tied off about 6-8 inches from the hook, all on trilene big cat 40 lb mono.

    sometimes i run this rig with a large slip float for dangling live bait above structure or next to a big nasty snag for the big ugly hawg to come ambush
