Kinda......Chad Knaus will still be the crew chief at Bristol! They are going on to another hearing with John Middlebrook! Hasn't been announced when yet!

Middlebrook probably won't overturn the penalties, but will probably reduce them. In 2010 Clint Bowyer & Richard Childress took an appeal to him & had penalties reduced, he reduced the crew chief suspesion from 6 to 4 races & the fine was reduced from $150,000 to $100,000. However the 150 points penalty stayed, so figure Johnsons 75 point whack is here to stay!

Knaus's suspension and the 25 point penalty was overturned today. Just a $100,000 slap on the wrist. Go figure.

If it wasnt cheating why would the 100,000 fine still be intact? Probably doesnt hurt that Middlebrook just happens to be Hendricks life long friend. Rick even spoke at Middlebrooks retirement from gm... Go figure...

The whole thing doesnt make any sense to me. The car was illegal before the race but was legal when the race starts, so they want to fine and suspend them for cheating before the race starts. Maybe if they were caught with an illegal car after the race the fines ,suspensions and points loss would be legit right?
