Default When do the cats start biting

Its been pretty warm around here lately and im curious when is a good time to start catfishing? Is it pointless until the water warms up a little more? Or will they bite now?

I live in northern ohio and i been fishing 2 days now for cats. And i caught few flattie yesterday and a few today. 1 or 2 pounders. I been fishing for steelhead lately but the past 2 days river been so high and current was so tough there was no wadeing of fly fishing going to happen. And i went and got my conevtional rod and reel. And they are doing purty good. As far as channels. They been biting all year around round these parts.

Deeper water in winter time for me, Deep and shallow in summer.
When the worms start coming around. Catfish spawn and bite is on. I can fill my freezer.
Its almost ready now due to not a cold winter
