Are we mixing so many recycled metals it makes them prone to rust failures, or are we just skimping on the paints, and sealers to save a buck? I'm not sure, but I have a pile of radius arm brackets, spring shackles and brackets, and control arms and links outside I take in for scrap every month. Not one comes from an import. Toyota Tundra's are one of the most reliable trucks on the markets. The only work I've ever had to do to them is ball joints, and front end parts, and Evap issues. Nissan still has some electrical issues to work out it seems. Ask any Titan owner..If I was to buy a brand new truck, I hate to say it, but I'd probably find myself on a toyota lot before it's a done deal..
    Sad but true...

Think, even during the timeframe when toyota's were having alleged uncontrolled acceleration issues, sales actually went up.

People thought they could negotiate better deals in the face of negative news.

At one time you would get punched in the mouth in the south for owning a Toyota.

    Now they are *cool*.

They have done a hell of a job on their marketing campaign.

ya ive had one of the two different rear leaf spring brackets rust to failure on my 95 ford. the cheap metal looked as if it was laminated and flaked off in sheets like paper.

but the way so far those ming 40's are doing great. caught a few 5 lbers on them this week. work great IMO.

I went with an Omoto 7000csm after reading this thread. For the price why not try one out. I usally stick with Abu but price and free shipping, it made it worth while to try one out.

Also I will consider a Toyota Tundra for my next truck... Although those sticker prices scare me.

I hear you about the price...

Them dang trucks seem to continue to hold value regardless of mileage.
