My new trailer lights
So I finally got fed up with the trailer lights working only when they wanted. Bought a new harness, new LED side marker lights and new LED tail lights. Got everything hooked up and it all works. Then I notice I have 3 little marker lights across the back I forgot about. Since one of them is burnt out, I will be getting some LED replacements for them. Hopefully I go a long long time before I have to worry about lights again.

You'll like the LEDs. Pretty much trouble free, and you don"t have to remember to unplug them when you back in. Looks good!

I never unplugged them when I backed in. Probably part of the reason they worked on the way to the lake but not going home.

If you used t-taps then I would unplug the harness when backing in the boat. I opted to use sealed butt connectors.

The t taps went into the trash with the old harness. I used sealed connectors, heat shrink, and electrical tape on this job.

I've never had much trouble with connections. My problems have always been because of backing a hot bulb into cold water because the housing's not water tight.

I did the exact thing last year---VERY HAPPY--- don't have to unplug and they work and are 3 X's as bright
