Well, the wind and the warm must've made the Catfish in Milford Lake put the feedbag back on this afternoon. My Catfishing partner(Jerald) and me had fair luck today. We caught 6 Bluecats, all eater size, cept the one in the picture(14.3lbs), which was released after weighing it. And two eater size Channelcats. Looks like the same conditions tomorrow, so we'll be there to feed them again
It's belly was a lot bigger than what it looks like in the picture. He twisted just as Jerald snapped the picuter, I released it right after that, just to get it back into the water. But it had a huge belly.

I think it will be a few more years before the blues in El dorado will be good, they have a 32" min length
on blues there, last year the ones I caught were 2 lbs or less, however there are a few bigger ones in there, and every now and then a bigger one shows up, saw a picture of a 12 last year,

It will be a while Roger. When they sampled last year they found baby blue cats. They have started to reproduce and that is the key. That's why I think ElDorado will have a self sustaining blue population one day.

The weather for this weekend is looking pretty good. Looks like 30% chance of showers Saturday and Sunday, but favorable winds. I think with $3.50+ gas prices I'm just going to stay at Timber Creek this weekend Saturday night and possibly Friday night. See you guys out there.

Eldorado topped Milford in the 2012 fishing forecast in the wp's magazine in the "Density rating"(>20") category, 1.13 to 1.05. Milford was higher in the "Biggest Fish"(lbs) category though, 11.57 to 7.47 pounds. I sure wish we had the restrictions on big Catfish you can keep like they do though. we'd have more trophy size Catfish than we do now.
