Good morning from Lake Norman where we are in for a nice day and the weather numbers indicate it might be A OK : 27/63/45, with wind out of the ESE at 5 to 10 MPH, with plenty of sunshine. When I pick up the Sports Writer at 9:30 AM it should be around 39 degrees. WG's say the wind will shift to the South around high noon.

Off and on yesterday, I harvested some of the blue gills hanging around under the LUND. Their size runs from 2.5 inches to hand size. They will be making the trip with me alive and I will prepare them for Mr. & Mrs Whiskers as I need them. Primary bait today will be CBMIGP, but I will stop on the way to the pick up area and buy a dozen of 6 inch Gizzard Shad, just in case.

There is no set time limit to be on the water today, because I will be out thar to get the job done, no matter what ! It would be nice to get a couple of trophy cats in the water quickly, but most likely that will not happen. I will make this projection, the big fish will visit the LUND in the time period of 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, right with the shift in the wind from ESE to South.

I have already applied the SWAG system to my fishing location and the outcome deemed that I made the right selection. I'm rested because I feel asleep a little after 6 PM last night, got up at 10:15 PM, read some rambling, then went back to bed at midnight and slept until 4:30 AM. What a sleeping pattern !

At first light I will be changing out all my shock leaders and hooks with some never used ones. Also will be stripping off about 15 feet of existing fishing line, just in case there is a nick in that portion of the line or abrasions from previous outings. As Big 'G' says, don't take a knife to a gun fight !

Geez,, I won something I can use,,, That is all right.. The last thing I won was a wind mask for going across the water fast durning the winter,,, You know I needed that. lol My son has that now, when he is racing his dirt bike or dune buggy, kinda protects the face.

Pit's when are you going fishing??? Man that sounds good,, I have never bank fished the ocean,,, I have always paid to go on one of those 1/2 day boats, once out of the Fl Keys and once in San Diego at Point Loma,, I loved it .

I had a quart of nectar from Canepoles deal the first of last month,, BUT,, one of our neices kids graduated from nursing school and had a kegger,, well I took that quart jar,, and it's GONE,,, LOL

I would have to swing threw TN heading your way and get another quart,,, lol,,, Rather good stuff, that nectar, I do have some store bought stuff that might work for the resting times.

Are you fishing cut bait in the ocean???

I am ready to go fishing,, I have some worms coming I need to drown. And No Dallas,, I am still keeping all my jigs and tubes, lol,
