??? 7th annual AZ/CA Colorado River Gathering??? 2012

Hey Fellows - well I put it like this:


If anyone from our group is willing to say down there the weekend of the of the May 11th, 12th & 13th, I will be willing to stay down there to make this (the fish-fry/The Meeting of Members) work. I will be willing to camp out on the shore of the river or rent a room in a local hotel. But if my only ride back, is comimg back I guest that I would have to return with them.
But who whats to take me up on the offer to say a couple more days?

I just got a text from Jeff, at about 4:30 this morning, saying that we are not leaveing until the 13th of May.

So this may work out for us after all.

So we're set for May 11-13, right? I hope so, cause I just put it on my calender for the 9th trough the 13th.
It's my plan to be there this year and unless the finances don't work out I will be.
Provided I make the trip I'll bring another propane burner and pot to boil up some pintos in. I've used it before at family gatherings and it works just fine.
I figure two pounds of pintos with maybe some ham hocks tossed in for flavoring should feed everyone more than they want but it would be best if we could get some idea how many there will be.
I also have a 10'x10' push up awning/screen room that I can bring.
Of course my john boat and maybe my kayak for use on the oxbow.
I would like to know if there is an operating Fueling Station there in Palo Verde.
If not I'll need to bring an extra Gas can. It's a 17 mile trip to Blythe from there.
I remember there being a little store that has beer and goldfish sometimes.

If I have to crawl to Palo Verde, I will be there. I'm not missing this Vacation and fishing at all. I may not be able to move around like I wanted too, but you can bet your arse I will be there. okay then. weekend of 12 may is now firm date for the 7th annual az/ca gathering. this yr at palo verde, looks like the park there but still waiting until pictures thursday. dale says it good to go. no power, but long as water, and bathrooms, all we need.
now we need to start who all is gonna be at the fish fry?

thanks Barney, was thinking there was, but couldn't remember for sure. you gonna be in area at that time?
like to drink a cold one with you. you old coot. LOL maybe mudcat boy can make it too? JD&COKE said they are gonna try and get there.
