"Hey Hey Dale"
How have ya been & How is the new place coming along for ya?
Got a couple of questions for ya Buddy:
As you know - a bunch of us are going to be in the Palo Verde area at the beginning of May (May 4Th Thu 12Th), were you thinking about having your Gathering around then?
Because if so, that will be "Great" - because that is one Gathering that should be attended by any fishermen that love to fish for Flats & have a good time meeting alot of the great members that Ca. & AZ. have to offer.
&
Will you still be hold the fish-fry/get together (the meeting of the fishing minds
- lol) at the Mayflower like before (since your not at Hidden Beaches any longer)?

"If it ain't broke - then why are you trying to fix it"?
(Think about it)
LoL

i think that would be a great idea. last yr a lot of the guys didn't make it cause they were scattered around pala verde and imperial. maybe that roadside BLM campsite just south of the town Pala Verde would work.
if done when the guys from up north were down, could work out great. would you be able to make that one Dale?

Gary the camping area next to the oxbow along the highway is a Imperial county park I think, ,, That works but the skeeter's are thick there,,, also the back side of the oxbow where it meets up with the river ,,, got some nice BLM camp spots on the oxbow next to the river and a launch ramp to the river, and not far to the canals ,,,,, not sure when the group that going to be fishing the mo is going to make its way into the Palo Verda Area and what the plan is going to be,,, think I'm going to hit Picacho for a day or 2 prior ,, I'll be sleeping on the boat I can bring the deep fryer,,,, maybe having the fish to eat this year won't be a problem with iv grope having fished for a few days prior anyways know some guys from AZ were talking of making it,,, need to get the date and some threads started in each state,, I'm just ready get out and get a flathead catfish

Dale, ray and i camped there a few days. BLM camp. 10.00 a day. park outside and walk in. we didn't experience skitters, but not doubting your word. you got better idea, put it out. i've no better idea cause i just just don't know that area at all and won't claim to. only thing i would like (for my personal) is a power source so blender can work if needed for me. sorry, that's me though. can do without if need be though.
just would like to see get done, but not gonna be one to get gonna get going this yr.
i'll just come fish you're place instead. LOL.

Gary, if Ray goes with his Mini-Winnie it has a generator. I bet he'd let you run your blender.
May is good for me as much as any time. I'll either have the money for fuel or not go.
Where is the closest launch ramp for the river near that oxbow? I know you cant get across the levey from there.
Anyone have a idea what it costs to launch at the Cibola ramp?
I kinda like the launch at MacEntire but wouldn't mind a cheaper launch

HEY RIVER FISHERMEN....
THE OXBOW BELOW PALO VERDE IS RIVERSIDE COUNTY.....(Approximately 2 1/2 miles below Palo Verde)
Riverside County California extends from Santa Ana River the eastern end of the Los Angeles basin, eastward to the Colorado River. It includes the desert regions of the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs, as well as the San Jacinto, Little San Bernardino and Santa Rosa mountains.
Thirty-six regional parks also exist within this diverse geography, operated by Riverside County Regional Park.
These county facilities provide some of the best adventure and recreational opportunities in Southern California.
Eight of these parks are located in the desert region and/or along the Colorado River.

robb, gotcha on that. i know i gripe a lot on my eating, but understand where i'm coming from. ray has always let me use his mini-winni for blender. but have you ever ate a steak, chicken piece, pork, or any meat that has been blended? like eating flavored mush. i'm embarrassed at those cook outs cause i can't eat the food there!!!! plain and simple. i have to tell them i can't eat it. i know it's great. but by the time i put the broth in blender, grind it up, no way it tastes like it should. THAT is my real problem. so i complain.
