The Zebco catfish fighter, and the Ugly stik catfish are both good rods, or if you could got to around $65 on a rod the Ugly stik tiger rods are real good, and would allow for added weight, or bigger baits.

I have had great results with Ugly Stiks. Just be sure to get 1 piece. I lost count of how many I have but the only problems I ever had were 2 piece ones broke at the joint. You will go through 3 regular rods for every Ugly Stik because they snap and the Ugly's don't. They have good ceramic guides too. I have Medium Heavy Ugly Stiks rated for 20 lb. line that I use 130 lb. braid on and have caught 60 lb. range blues on with no problem.

I'm sure the Renegade rods are very good too, but I haven't tried them.
