1/2 Ton Disappointment .
Was down in Cape Girardeau, MO. yesterday at the hospital with a friend of mine who was having his leg removed below the knee . While outside smoking next to the truck a guy saw the decals on my truck and started in with a story of his Team Catfish 1/2 ton rod and a 30+ pound flathead that snapped to rod like it was an elcheapo . He told me he called Team Catfish about it and they told him there is no warrenty on the rod for fish over 20 pounds .
I was laughing as this was a first for me hearing this . I then informed him where he could get a super nice rod with a warrenty like no other . www.renegadetackle.com he was really exited once I started telling about the gear at Renegade and about www.catfish1.com .
We then started swapping fishing stories and he had some good ones . After giving him a couple cards he said he was checking it all out when he got home . He loves catfishing and everything flathead .... lol

I thought it was going to be about a Chevy.
Hope your friend is doing well. Diabetes I suppose? When I heard those commercials about "America runs on Dunkin" I guess that means we'll have a whole generation of people with diabetes, the teenagers are all drinking Mountain Dew, that's just asking for it.

I have a Dodge that would fit that category as well. *LOL*
Roger on the friend. Prayers and good wishes to him.
Now about that rod, there are all kinds of things that can make most any rod weaker than it should be. You can slam it in a door or tailgate, step on it, drop an anchor on it or a lot of other kinds of abuse. It also helps to set your drag light enough for the equipment you're using. I would bet that rod had been bruised somehow.

Thanks for asking brother .
He is really doing great , he was sitting in a chair and used a walker to do a bit of walking today . The nurse's was shocked that he was doing so good and it had not been 24 hours after surgery yet . It was a hard few hours after the surgery though .
The surgery was at 2 pm yesterday and he was up in a chair and on the walker at 11:30 am this morning . One tough s.o.b.
They put him in a room at 2 pm today that is pressured with 500% oxygen or something like that for 2 hours to help heal it quicker , he said that hurt like hell .
