Missouri River @ St. Joseph 2012
Well I guess no one else has started one, so I will. Has anyone been out lately? Craig and I went out for awile yesterday we ended up with about 25 fish total alot of small channel cats. I did catch one channel that weighed in the 12 # range and craig some how managed a 33 lb 10oz flathead which is crazy for this time of year, but I guess that have to eat too!

I wonder if the flathead are changing their patterns. That is about a half of dozen I have heard of this winter. I know you could have just put the bait right on his head and he hit it but I dont think all of them were that way. This is very interesting. I am curious about how this will go over the next few years. Cold water flatheads. Who woulda thunk

Great Job! sounds like a fun day on the river. We went out south of Atchison on Saturday. Explored all the holes down to Iatan. Managed 9 channels but all were dinks except the one 4-5 lb'r. Stopped in one hole and I bet we saw a thousand gar rolling on the surface. It was nuts!

Sounds like you guys had a good day on the river, thinkin I might miss the convienince of being close to the big Mo. Plenty of good catfishing lakes close here, and the North platte is 30 minutes away for some good duck hunting. After the trip to Warsaw I will tow the boat back here and hit some of the lakes here.
