Momma Styers Monkey Bread
This was made by Newtons mother. I am sharing it with you all.
1 cup of sugar
1 pkg yeast
1 tsp salt
4 cups water
7 or 8 cups all purpose flour
Bring 2 cups of water & teaspoon salt to a boil. Put sugar in a large bowl. Pour the hot salted water over sugar. Add one cup cold water. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water. Add to sugar water. Add flour. Let set in refrigerator a few hours or over night. Pour out on floured dough board. Kneed. Divide in half. Roll half out to about one inch thick. Cut in small pieces. Dip in melted butter. Drop in a bundt pan. Repeat with the other half. Let rise to double. Bake @ 325 until golden brown. When ready to serve break. (do not cut) into pieces. Great with honey. Enjoy.
