    Default CatFish Rod n' Reel.

I think I'll start after Catfish this year in earnest.
I sent 'Pleas' out to my friends and relatives on the West coast to go 'Yard Sale prowling' and find me some of the Salmon or Halibut Rod's n' Reels as Cheaply as possible. But don't steal anything!

There aint much of that stuff here in Alabama.

I fixed up and re-used a lot of Penn 60's when I lived in Alaska. Great reel. But it would get a case of Salt Corrosion if left in the boat all wet.

I've never had a Diawa. Anybody have something to say about one of them?

Don't know much about diawa's.. But Abu's are pretty easy to find in AL. And they work good for me..
I've got a couple of 209 Penns on Ebay at good prices..

    Good luck in your search...

    GOD Bless, james

A Daiwa Sealine 20 or 30 oughta do a pretty good job for ya. I have a slsh20, it will handle anything I'm gonna catch. They hold a good amount of line, and have decent drag. They can be had used for reasonable price. Probably 60 or so.
