Default Power Pro Super 8 Slick

Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a spool to go on my new Fathom. 80# timber brown. I'll be fishing weekend after next so I hope to have a review on it. Had a buddy try to sell me on Sufix 832, which by all indications is a good line, but I've read time and time again of the color bleeding everywhere...your reel, hands, etc... I've had good experience with regular PP, and this new stuff caught my eye. Especially like that it comes in doo-doo brown...should blend in nice on the James.

Anybody else try this stuff yet?

I will be looking foreward to your review Josh ,i see that this new PP has eight woven strands versus the old stuff having three strands. The Suffix is also supposed to be eight strands if i remember correctly, i guess the only thing left is performance and price.

I don`t know about the preformance, but on ebay you can get a 300 yard #80 spool for $35.99.

Damn you Josh I have enough Invicta, Pex and regular PP to last me, you and 10 others lifetime. Since my last name is Brown I may have to grab a 300yd spool of doo doo brown. Hmmmmm may have to hit Paul up for another CL70 and get me a Brown rod made with a nice nick name on the rod hmmmmm decisions decisions

I am gonna be interested in hearing the reviews, but I`ll have to wait until next year before I will need any new line. Just bought some Invicta and want to try it to see how it compares to PP. I would also be interested in hearing what others think of Invicta.

I haven't fished with it yet but I did cast it several times and it is indeed a lot smoother and rounder than regular power pro. Almost like it has Real Magic line lubrication on it. I spooled 2 alphamars with 65 lb marine blue and an Omoto 6000 with 50 lb brown. The blue braid looks amazing on the black & blue alphamars paired with black/blue Extremes and brown looks great on the red omoto paired with the red & white Whip setup. I mainly bought the blue because that's the only blue braid I could find and I gotta have my colors coordinated. I'm a huge power pro fan so when i finally get a chance to put it to test on the waters fishing and getting snagged up I'm sure it won't disappoint. It cast like a smooth dream though. I'll be buying more from that guy on ebay especially since its the lowest price+ shipping combined.

I want to try the invicta also but the size and length I want never seems to be available.

That size and length part didn't sound right as I typed it!
