went out last night for a few hours, only had one bite but landed it. 15.2lbs. going out tonight, hopefully it's a little more active

whats the deal with these flatheads? I can't manage a single fish. Been out at least 5+ times for about 30 hours or so all together and only got 2 channels. every nights been the same with getting bites... they seem to just pick it up for a second and drop it. Last night had a run, went to set hook and the barb went straight into the baitfish (first time that ever happen to me). Im assuming its just cause the weathers still a little cold at nights. Otherwise I may be in for a long catfish season. Looking ahead I am expecting a flathead this Friday with the temperatures going up. 84 degrees sounds nice but now im gonna have to fight everyone and their mother for a spot to fish.

Had some obligations Saturday nights so if I was to fish I needed to do a quick session and get home. Gathered up some chubbs and suckers and arrived at the hole around 5:30PM.

I had my best session numbers wise catching a dozen cookie cutter flatheads in the 5-10lb range. This black thing hit a live sucker and weighed a respectable 34lbs. Was home by 8PM.
