man. i cant believe this weather. i just have to go fishing. its gonna ge 43 today. and 47 tomorrow. im getting out the gear. if i dont go today i am for sure going tomorrow. you dont get many sunny and 47 degree days in freakin january in central illinois. usually folks have to drill through ice to fish now. hall last week i missed almost a 60 degree day. i aint missing another good one. im gonna get a shot at my first fiah of the season way before i usually do. heading to the weldon springs park 49 acre lake to toss out a bluegill chunk for a channel.

heck just moved over to check the 5 day before i submitted this thread. 51 tues and 52 wed. its on like donkey kong. im fishing. thurs takes a dive to high of 30 with snow. so i got a 3 day winder. think ill wait to go tomorrow or tues. a few degrees warmer. wont wait till thurs as i want to fish into dark. dont know for sure when the bomb will drop so ill definatly go. prob be going both mon and tues. get a few hrs in both days so i dont have to sit and get cold. hit prime hrs both days. going to get my new cl-40s out and ready.

I hear ya brother the 5th. and 6th. was really nice . I been laid up with a tore ACL it killed me with the weather so nice and couldnt wet a line .

ya that would suck to be laid up with this nice winter weather. outside today working on a new woodstove chimney pipe for the shop. hell might not need it till next year. if we make it past dec 21st that is lol. them myans. never know.

I can appreciate your enthusiasm

I have another duck hunt or two planned.....after that, I think I my start getting the fishing equipment ready. Unfortunately, I cant seem to catch a cat in cool weather, so the crappie may have to suffice for the first few trips of the year.

Here in Central Wisconsin the temps have been in the mid to upper 40's the past 2 days. Looking at the same tomorrow. But typical for Wisconsin, wait a few minutes and the weather will change. We're looking at a high of 18 by friday. It was nice while it lasted.
