Default this may be a stupid question...

I was wondering how y'all get into your yaks in the winter without getting your paws wet? Im brand new to the whole yak fishing scene, planning on going out in the morning for the first time ever. My kayak is a sit in Old Town Vapor 9'6".

Just wear boots. You only need 4-8 inches underneath you to float. Your boots might get wet but so what? Since it's your first time be sure to wear your PFD and stay close to shore. Have fun!

I wear my neoprene waders. They keep me warm and dry. They also come in handy if I decide to get out and wade when I'm fishing for smallies.
