Illinois gathering, Catstock
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in having catstock again?
Tentative dates would be first weekend of august 2012
Location: Eldon Hazzlett State park, Carlyle ILL.

It will soon be time to reserve campsites if we are going to have a gathering.

ya didnt relize this was here lol. asking about it in the illin ois section. forgot there was a gathering area. i was wanting to get reservations in real soon. hoping for the point and surrounded by usca not the kind i had next to me this year. the boat full of drunks that had the cops there wasnt so bad it was the guy named mark on the other side that was giving me all the trouble lmao.

Sounds good Jeremy. I will try and get reservations myself. What site are you going to try for. With reserve america it will be easier to see what is available than before. Also should be easier to get what we want.

oh i dont know. veets had 10 last year (far left of the three on the point) so ill ill try for the one next to that (middle 9) or the one to the far right 8 if you were looking down the road toward the lake. im gonna put in mine like in the next day or two if thats the date were going with. i want to fish without walking a mile lol. just checked the reserve america site and cannot reserve untill 180 days prior to the stay. ill be doing the math. i want to reserve the day there available. should help with getting a better spot.
guess ill go for 8. one to the far right of the point. if you want to shoot for one of those. i wont go for 10 ill leave that open to veets if he plans on attending. looks like the end of feb is what they tell me. said come back feb 28th. so thats when ill try and reserve mine.
ya i like this way better than that lottery and phone in method. you can view the campground and see whats open and where your at exactly.

have never been to a gathering was planning on last year ended up in hospital for 3 months thanks to a drunk driver still a few months form full recovery but aug is a safe bet it will be as good as it will ever be ill plan on it

I will be up that way one of the days or all to shoot the bull and do some fishing .
Since I am only 12 miles down the road I probably wont do the camping thing .
Last year I missed due to business and my wife totaling my truck. Then she totaled her new car. I am not going to miss another one. I will be down that Thursday and pitch my tent. No reservations this year. I will take my chances or share a site.
