Default What is the best additive for shrimp???

Recently acquired a lot of raw shrimp with and without the shell on it. I have come up with a couple of ideas for it but, I got enough to experiment with. So, if anybody has a great marinade idea or spray type of attractant, put it up here. If I catch a fish with it I will post a picture. :onthego:

Default No that is not good for these

They were left in a cooler a little to long and half of them started to spoil...if we had only drank a little more they would be gone.:disgust:

I've had the best results with soaking shrimp in beef blood and also had success soaking them in sun-rendered crayfish oil from trapping supply stores.
In dog beers, I've only had 3.

Actually I would have put them in ziplocks and froze them. As long as they are not falling apart they will catch fish. To answer your original question though, I like to soak them in garlic oil. It adds a little zing to them that catfish like. Anise oil is a good channel attractant but not sure how good it would be with shrimp. Maybe conflicting scents, dunno.

    Shrimp don't really need anything.
I'm not saying additives don't work but if you are adding garlic to shrimp you are basically fishing with garlic same for anise or vanilla.
Any scent or flavor will be checked out by the fish which is why you can catch blues and channels with soap.
It sounds like you have a lot of shrimp? Try them plain and try them with various additives; you might find the fish in your area home in on one thing more than the others...W

I've always had good luck with just plain FRESH shrimp.
Never had an ounce of luck with shrimp that was spoiling or rotten.
